Dr. Mashkoor grew up in Sri Lanka, Dubai, and Pakistan. She obtained a post-baccalaureate graduate certificate in neurobiology graduating magna cum laude from the Medical College of Virginia. She went on to earn her Doctor of Dental Surgery from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry and completed her specialty training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at NYC Health + Hospitals/Woodhull.
Dr. Mashkoor is a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Pacific Dugoni School of Dentistry in San Francisco teaching students and is an attending surgeon training residents at the Alameda Health System Highland Hospital. She is an attending surgeon on staff at the Sutter Health California Pacific Medical Center.
Her surgical interests include; Dental and Facial Trauma, Dental Implants, Wisdom Teeth and Dental Extractions, Maxillofacial Pathology, and Reconstructive Bone and Tissue Grafting. She believes that patient care and safety is of the utmost priority. She volunteers for mission trips locally and internationally. In her free time, she is passionate about traveling, running, skiing and teaching. Her bucket list of things to do is to run a marathon and get scuba diving certified.
