Rishi Jay Gupta, DDS, MD, MBA, FACS 

Dr. Rishi Jay Gupta
Dr. Rishi Jay Gupta is a native of Walnut Creek, CA and earned his Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Molecular and Cell Biology at University of California, Berkeley. He earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) from the University of California, San Francisco concurrently with a Masters of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from the University of San Francisco and his Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) form the University of California, Davis. Dr. Gupta completed his specialty training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery from the University of California, San Francisco and a fellowship in Sleep Surgery from California Sleep Institute and Stanford University. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.

Dr. Gupta is licensed to practice both dentistry and medicine and has a permit for general anesthesia. He has published numerous articles and contributed to many chapters in the field. He is a principal investigator and actively involved in research for the treatment of temporomandibular disorders and sleep apnea.
He serves as Section Chief of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the San Francisco Veterans Affairs Health Care System and Staff Surgeon of Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery at Northern California VA Health Care System. He is an Assistant Professor at the University of California, San Francisco and staff surgeon at California Pacific Medical Center.

Interests: Sleep Apnea Surgery and Disorders, Temporomandibular Disorders and Joint Surgery, Facial Pain, Botulinum Toxin Treatment of Head and Neck Pain, Orthognathic Jaw Surgery, Oral Pathology, Dentoalveolar Surgery, Dental Implant and Oral Reconstruction, Wisdom Tooth and Dental Extractions.
